When I think of Jamaica, I think of white beaches, crystal-clear seawater, palm trees, and the national flag in green, black, and yellow (or gold). Oh, and Bob Marley, of course. It Fake Watches was a bit much to incorporate all that into the watch, but there are certainly a few cool references within the Canopus Gold Seamaster’s design. The dial is made out of natural gray silicon. Silicon is produced using silica sand, also known as white sand. It’s heated to around 1,700°C and then made to react with carbon to create impure silicon. In the end, the silicon slowly recrystallizes, and that’s exactly what you see on the gray dial of this Seamaster Diver 300M.

The automatic Soprod C115 is protected by the case and crown. The Swiss caliber is a 4Hz automatic modular movement with 42-hour power reserve. The matte gray dial features central hands for the minutes, hours and seconds. You'll also see a power-reserve indicator at 12 o'clock, a date at 3 o'clock and a 24-hour indication replica Tag Heuer watch at 6 o’clock. A semi-box sapphire with anti-reflective treatment is used to cover the dial. This makes it easy to see all the indications (although the 24-hour indicator is on the small size, but this could be because I cannot live without reading glasses). The Waltham features a generous amount X1 Super-LumiNova for easy reading in dark situations. It is a feature you want and need in a fieldwatch.
The RM 33-02 case measures 41.70 mm x 8.80 mm compared to 45.70 mm x 6.3 mm for the original model. It’s gotten thicker but 8.80 mm is still relatively thin and the smaller diameter is much more in line with current tastes.

When the topic of G-Shock comes up, I always turn to one member of the Fratello clan before anyone else.
