Become a Salmon Watch Volunteer
Are you interested in watershed health, fish and wildlife or environmental education?
Do you want to help youth experience the great outdoors while immersed in watershed science?
Volunteers are at the heart of the Linn-Benton Salmon Watch Program. We are always seeking a diverse group of volunteers to teach students at one or more field learning station.
Volunteers include fisherfolk, retired teachers, high school or college students, outdoor enthusiasts, natural resource professionals, and parents/guardians.
There is no prior experience needed to volunteer!
Just sign up for one of our free trainings, complete a background check, and you’re ready to go!
Trained volunteers can sign up to lead the station of their choice at any field trip:
Albany, Central Linn
Sweet Home, Lebanon
Benton County
REQUIRED BACKGROUND CHECK:
All field trip volunteers must complete a background check, it should only take a few minutes.
Click on the link: http://www.coeusglobal.com/council_or_calapooia.html
The background check is free (just choose to have Calapooia Watershed Council pay, OR you can choose to donate the fee.)
Thank you to our volunteers past, present & future!
